Hey folks,
Here’s a quick one, from a few mornings back. Mount Blackburn, from across the Root Glacier and the Donoho Basin. Really cold.
The mountain’s been out pretty often, which means clear sunny skies, which means – wear your long underwear. I’m still getting used to allowing myself an extra 30 minutes to get dressed to go outside to take photos.
Cheers
Carl
Beautiful as always.
That photo is awesome!! I bet you do have to layer it up before you go outside. Have you ever seen the movie “A Christmas Story”? Ralphies little brother had to bundle up. Are your arms sticking straight out like he was? LOL!I love your Photos. They look like paintings. You do sweet work Carl. You stay warm & careful! Your friends on the blog!
Hey Carl,
Wonderful photo … as always. We’ve been getting a good, solid old-school winter here as well. Great for snowshoeing if you don’t mind pounding through a couple of feet of powder in places. 🙂
Are those great horned owls hanging out nearby again this winter?
Take care man!
– Pete
Happy New Year Carl!
Ron
Hey everyone,
Thanks a bunch, I appreciate it
Beth, I don’t think I saw that movie – I’ve heard of it though My arms were OK .. my nose, toes and fingers were WAY cold.
Pete, yeah, couple of feet of powder here too .. I’ll try to get a shot of me snowshoeing soon. I’ve heard the owls, but only glimpsed them a couple of times .. I did see a Peregrine Falcon chase a Raven the other day though.
Back atcha Ron.
Cheers
Carl
